What it’s really like traveling alone.

After a month of solo travel in Bali, I figured it was about time to post this video. Let’s call it the conclusion to my Bali trip and first time traveling alone.

Since it was my first time truly traveling alone, I decided at the beginning of the trip that I would record a video diary of my time in Bali. Anything to do with feelings/experiences on solo travel!

This is what I came up with, and I wanted to share it as a *hopefully useful guide to anyone thinking of traveling solo. Maybe “guide” is the wrong word… “realistic expectations” might be more appropriate. haha

It’s important to me to always be honest with you. And when I am vlogging, I am stoked 99% of the time. But there was a lot of time off camera on this trip where things went wrong and/or I wasn’t super excited about where I was. So I wanted to share both the good and the not-so-good parts of solo travel to help give you a realistic summary of what the experience was like.

Hope you enjoy this video – and thank you for your support on the Bali series! So much more goodness to come – every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday 😉

Today I discovered what is hands down my favourite beach in Bali. I feel like I say this about most places I go in Bali, but this is REALLY the best beach. And that is my final answer lol 😉

This spot is located at a chill beach club called Sundays. Sundays Beach Club is in Uluwatu and it was STUNNING! The club itself wasn’t super fancy or anything like Omnia, but the beach was amazing. The water is bright blue and there’s no strong current so you can actually swim!

For real this was the first time I swam in my entire month in Bali. Wild.

Had a grand old time eating, drinking, and hanging out on the beach! Highly recommend if you are ever in Bali.

Only a few days left and I’m off! This trip has flown by, can’t believe I’m almost done 🙁

Talk soon!’

Today I visited the famous Omnia Bali! This place has been super hyped up, and I really wanted to go for myself and see if it was as amazing in person.

I think the thumbnail makes it obvious but Omnia Bali was a GOOD TIME! So beautiful, luxurious, and the vibe was RIGHT.

In the video I briefly mentioned price but honestly it was so loud it was hard to vlog lol. The prices there are expensive for Bali standards, but for USA standards, they are VERY reasonable. I think the min spend is about $100 per head, which if you compare that to Vegas, is nothing!

Definitely recommend checking out Omnia if you are ever in Bali. It’s located in Uluwatu so about a 1-2 hour drive from Canggu depending on traffic. Pray for no traffic cuz it took forever for us haha!

Make sure you head over to YouTube and leave this video a thumbs up!

Thanks for watching!

Travel plans have been really up in the air for my last week in Bali! Needed a chill day in Canggu to get things sorted. Watch the vlog above to find out what happened!

Honestly have never ever taken myself on a solo date before, and I have no regrets!! This “self date night” (let’s call it.. lol) in Seminyak, Bali was so much fun, and I would 150% recommend if you are ever in Bali that you check out the mixology course at Katamama Hotel. SO. MUCH. FUN.

Basically you get to invent two custom drinks and make them yourself with the guidance of their epic bartender! I went with one that was similar to an old-fashioned (which is my cocktail of choice!) and then one with a local fruit. Both were INCREDIBLE.

I’ve been to so many “instagram cafes” here in Bali and a lot of the time the food and drinks look amazing, but in reality it tastes just average. This spot, was actually incredible. SO YUM.

So if you’re looking for something different to do in Seminyak, highly recommend.

Not every day when traveling is a super happy one, and that is OKAY! Today was Troy’s (bae) last day in Bali and I got quite emotional when he left to the airport.

Going to just chill out for the rest of the day and re-energize for tomorrow!

Finally spent a full day hanging out in Canggu, Bali! Have been wanting to make this vlog for a while but things kept coming up that took me out of Canggu, so here we are!

The main things to do in Canggu are:

  1. surf
  2. eat

I retired from my surfing days mostly because no matter how badly I want to be a cool surfer girl, I just don’t enjoy being thrown around in the water. So there’s one thing left to do for our time in Canggu… EAT.

OH ALSO, my boyfriend is here now!! So nice to have some company for a little bit while traveling. He’s only here for a few days, but it’s great nonetheless.

Alright so in today’s Bali vlog we test out the trendiest cafes and restaurants in Canggu. Specifically, The Lawn and Crate Cafe. Make sure you watch the video above to learn the TEA about these spots.

Ok, that’s it from me for today. Hope you’re having a great one!

These days it seems like all I do is hang out in Uluwatu, Bali! Not mad about it at all.

Today I had a photoshoot at Gunung Payung Beach, Uluwatu. Honestly wasn’t able to film all that much because I was busy shooting, but wanted to show you the behind the scenes of a model photoshoot!

Definitely not as glamorous as it might seem to shoot on the beach. Let’s just say I had sand everywhere…. like, EVERYWHERE. Also sweat. Lots of sweat.

So yeah! If you want to see the behind the scenes of a beach photoshoot in Bali, make sure you check out today’s vlog.
Lots of love, thank you for being here <3

This was hands down one of the coolest/craziest experiences I’ve ever had! The other day my new friend and I went to Uluwatu, Bali to visit a dayclub called OneEighty° (or, The Edge.) OneEighty° has this INSANE SKYPOOL that hangs 6 meters over the edge of a FREAKING CLIFF!

How insane is that?

Oh, it also has a glass bottom. *nervously laughs*

Anyways, so today’s travel vlog stars this particular spot in Uluwatu and it honestly was one of the most fun days ever. There is nothing I love more in this life than good food, beautiful views, and of course… prosecco. (Mostly cuz I can’t afford champagne all the time lolll)

this pool thooooo

total honesty, i did have a moment where i thought “what if there was an earthquake RIGHT NOW” while swimming.. aiyaaa

told my friend we would split this pizza, but i accidentally ate the entire thing minus the one slice she had. true story.

fun fact, i took this myself. such talent.

ANYWHO, hope you enjoyed this vlog! I had way too much fun making it lol!

That’s all for today, see you soon.

Silent Day 2019 – the Hindu tradition observed as the New Year in Balinese culture. I honestly had no idea this holiday even existed until about a week ago!

When I first heard about all the sanctions and rules surrounding Silent Day (aka Nyepi), have to admit I was a little nervous. Staying inside? Internet cut off? Fines? No food? No lights? Sounded intense!

Watch my full video explaining what Silent Day (Nyepi) is to get more details on the actual rules/regulations. They differ a bit for locals and tourists.

In reality the day was actually very peaceful. Something I failed to mention in my Silent Day vlog was how great the day is for the environment. Not a single car, scooter, truck… ANYTHING would be running for an entire day. Imagine if the USA did that. It would be incredible for the earth! Also kind of nice that everyone has a day off, time to meditate, and break free from the hustle of every day life.

Really enjoyed my silent day experience, but I have to say….. I do love having my internet back! hehe #addicted
